Trendy Tuesday and more

Noël Caleb is one brand that is constantly evolving.

We have regularly launched unique programmes for our fans and our customers and keeping up with this tradition, we recently launched a new initiative called Trendy Tuesday.

Trendy Tuesday is a movement that aims to bring interesting, fashionable people together, yes you guessed it right, every Tuesday 🙂

We have lined up a series of exciting activities for you all as part of Trendy Tuesday. But before we reveal that, check out what we have been up to so far 🙂

For our first Trendy Tuesday event, our team met up with Singapore’s coolest runway club at Raffles Junior College.

Raffles Runway is a student run fashion programme. Around 60 students created their own designs which were recently shown at their fashion show at SCAPE on 11 May.

Noël Caleb mentored the club by providing guidance in terms of styling, catwalk training, choreography, etc. Noël Caleb also had a segment at this fashion show. Here’s a short video:

In another Trendy Tuesday activity, we organized an accessories making workshop in collaboration with Eskpade, an upcoming local accessories label.

It was an intimate session where Kristine, the founder of Eskpade, guided the participants through the process of creating an embroidered accessory.

It was tough but fun 🙂

Meet – The – Designers Session

We also organized a Meet-The-Designers session at The Co on 7 May where students, bloggers, fans and customers got an opportunity to meet and interact with designer-founders of three local labels.

All the designers were very open and honest about their experiences of starting and running fashion labels.

They also gave a ton of sensible and practical advice to aspiring entrepreneurs.

The Jonah Collection

We have a couple of very exciting developments taking place very soon.

First up, our latest collection, ‘Jonah’ is launching this week at Blueprint, which is taking place from Thursday to Sunday at The Pit Building in Marina Bay from 10 am – 6 pm.

Please do visit us at Zone C, Booth 77 to get your hands on ‘Jonah’ and our other collections.

And that too, at a great price, exclusive for Blueprint!

We are also organizing our next model casting and training workshop on 21 May at 7 PM.

The selected models will walk the runway at our fashion show on June 29. This fashion show is going to be so much bigger and better than anything we have done so far. But that’s all we are telling you for now 🙂

Noël Caleb Jonah Fashion Show – A Preview of Jonah

Hello Fashionable Folks!

It’s Friday and we are anticipating a wonderful weekend as we’re gonna help a group of friends with their fashion show 🙂

And what better way to indulge in this mood than by reviewing our last fashion show.

Noël Caleb Jonah Fashion Show was held on Saturday, 23 March at the beautiful Sail@Marina Bay on the 44 floor with this stunning view.

Our models arrived bright and early at the venue to get primped and primed for our first fashion show of the year.

Noël Caleb Model Search 2013

Hello fellow Noël Caleb fans!

Check out what we were up to last week.

We conducted our first model audition for the year on 19 Feb at the fabulous The Co.

The selected models will walk the runway for our upcoming fashion show on 23 March at the Zouk.

They will also be put on a short list to be our campaign model for our upcoming collection, launching in March.

It was a fun filled evening with the audition consisting of three parts – a photo shoot, a video shoot of the runway walk (which was really challenging as the models had to walk down a spiral staircase in heels!) and a 30 second video introduction.

All the models did really well and it was unfortunate that we could choose only 16 from amongst them.

So without much further ado, here are the 16 lucky ladies 🙂

Noël Caleb Fashion Workshop for Bloggers 2013

Noël Caleb is off to a rocking start in 2013!

We organized our first event of the year – our Fashion Workshop for Bloggers on 29 Jan 2013, 7pm at a brand new location:

This co-working space is so new that it hasn’t even launched yet 🙂

Noël Caleb is among the lucky chosen few who have had access to this place.

Apart from The Co, our other partners for this event were We are SPACES, a new start-up that connects people to cool event spaces and  RSociety, a multi-label online shopping platform cum social network.

We guarantee that you will be hearing a lot about them in the near future.

This workshop was not just about fashion and styling but was also an opportunity for bloggers and social media stars to network and interact with each other and become part of the Noël Caleb community.

The workshop started with our guests introducing themselves and describing their blogging/social media journey.

This was followed by a short speech by our guest speaker Juliana Chong, a full-time beauty blogger who has just launched her website Honeyz Cube and will soon be launching an online jewelry store Absolutely Divine.

Wow! Talk about accomplishments 🙂

Juliana shared with us how she started out as a part-time blogger while working in IT, when she decided to plunge into blogging full-time, how she convinced her family to be on board with her unconventional career choice as well as all her achievements in her journey so far.

She was truly inspirational!

Juliana’s speech was followed by an introduction to Noël Caleb fashion and styling by our Founder & Creative Director, Eileen Yap.

She shared with us several tips about styling according to body type and occasion with the help of many versatile pieces from the Noël Caleb collection.

Noël Caleb Apprentice Programme 2012

The Noël Caleb Apprentice Programme 2012 was a superb success and this is all thanks to our immensely talented apprentices:

Our fabulous apprentices picked up various aspects of working with a fashion label including behind-the-scenes work like sourcing, designing and production very quickly.

They also learnt about styling, visual merchandising and retail and got to practice it at the Noël Caleb counter in the amazing departmental store ISETAN.

We all had a wonderful time.  We would like to thank all Noël Caleb fans who helped us present this gorgeous event.

Now you can understand why we had a tough time choosing the Best Apprentice.  All of them were exceptional!
